TOBE Outerwear was founded in 2001 in Hammerdal, a small Swedish town a couple hours from the Arctic Circle. Our heritage is drawn from a combination of skiing and snowmobiling, as our owners took to snowmobiles to access new terrain to ski. Our founder Tomas and his family quickly realized that he enjoyed going uphill on his sled just as much as he enjoyed going downhill on skis. However, as he started to spend more time on the snowmobile, he quickly realized that his ski gear did not stand up to the demands of snowmobiling. When he looked for snowmobile-specific gear, he could not find anything that reflected the style he liked and felt connected to from skiing.
